Blogging Friends Blog Hop April 2022 - Dreaming of DAFFODILS, DAHLIAS, & FLOWERS during April Shower
Hello and welcome to my blog; today is the first Friday of April so that means it's time for this month's Blogging Friends Blog Hop.

Our theme this month is Dreaming of DAFFODILS, DAHLIAS, & FLOWERS during April Showers. A take on the old saying April Showers brings May Flowers. I mean we have so many fun floral images throughout our catalogs it was hard to pick just one. Here's a look at the card I created for this months hop.

I decided to go a little different with this months project. I decided to use the Dandy Wishes Dies to create my own flower instead of stamping one and coloring it. So, I used the dies in the set to create a chrysanthemum. I thought that this would be a fun idea and it was and not hard at all to create.
I used the sun looking die on the stem and the other three dies that match it to create the flower from Magenta Madness Cardstock (on the Last Chance List). I cut the stem from Granny Apple Green Cardstock and cut it again from the Magenta Madness Cardstock (Retiring Item). I cut the top flower off that one and attached it to the Granny Apple Green one with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Then the other layers I added each with a Stampin' Dimensional one on top of the other.

I then attached it to the card front which I used a piece of the Pattern Party Host Designer Series Paper (cut at 3 3/4" x 5") (Retiring Item) to a piece of Magenta Madness Cardstock (cut at 4" x 5 1/4"). I added some grass and leaves cut from Granny Apple Green Cardstock scraps using the Dandy Wishes Dies (retiring). I finished off the chrysanthemum by adding some glitter to it with my Wink of Stella Clear Brush Pen.

I added a small strip of the DSP to the inside of the card as well; just on the reverse side. I added a sentiment onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock stamped in Magenta Madness Classic Ink (retiring). I stamped the bee from the Garden Wishes Stamp Set (retiring) also on the card in Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the bee with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.

To finish off the card I cut the entire thing out with one of the dies from the Tasteful Labels Dies (also retiring). And added it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. Then I added a few Gilded Gems sprinkled around the card and a little of the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon.
