Blogging Friends June 2022 Blog Hop - Step It Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog today is the first Friday of the month which means it's time for the Blogging Friends Blog Hop. The Blogging Friends are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from across the globe and we hop on the first Friday of each month. Each month is a different theme to inspire you.

This month we are sharing three projects with you using the same set of supplies on each; each persons supposed to take the supplies they picked and create three different cards/projects for you; one for the beginner, one for the casual crafter, and one for the avid crafter. I know there will be something in this month's hop that you will find inspiration from.

Tips & Tricks:

For my Step It Up Projects I picked the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set and matching embossing folder and dies along with a little designer series paper and cardstock. Each card built on these supplies. Let's get into it shall we.

Simple Stamping Card:

For my simple stamping card for beginners or those that just want to make a quick card; I used just stamps ink and paper to make this card. I used a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock cut at 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2" for my card base. I then cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped the shells from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set all over this layer in Evening Evergreen Classic Ink. I then added a small piece of the Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper and my sentiment stamped in Sweet Sorbet Classic Ink onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock.

Card for the Casual Crafter:

My card for the casual crafter I stuck with the same cardstocks and designer series paper. I used Crumb Cake Cardstock for the card base (same size as before). For the Soft Sea Foam Cardstock layer I cut it down to 3 3/4" x 5" and embossed it with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder before adding it to the card base. I then added a strip of the Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper but punched banner ends on both ends with the Banner Pick a Punch. I then stamped my sentiment in Sweet Sorbet Classic Ink onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock and punched it out with the Label Me Lovely Punch before adding it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished off the card by adding a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Card for the Avid Crafter:

For my card for the Avid Crafter I still kept the same card base made from Crumb Cake Cardstock and the Soft Sea Foam Cardstock layer. But After Embossing the Soft Sea Foam Layer I took another piece of Soft Sea Foam cut at the same 3 3/4" x 5" size and embossed it with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder both then I took the matching Seaside Seashells Dies and cut that layer out. Then I took a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue and attached the die cut layer over the embossed layer to add a little more dimension. Next I added two more banners made from two different colors of the Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper (both had the same pattern and the ends where done with the Banner Pick A Punch) to the card. This time instead of punching my sentiment stamped in Sweet Sorbet Classic Ink on Basic White Cardstock I used one of the circle dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut it out and pop it up on Stampin' Dimensionals. Then I finished off the card by adding more Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Artfully Avid Card:

Now all we had to do was three cards for the Step It Up theme this month. But I went a little crazy when I was creating and did a fourth card to share with you today. This card is for the Artfully Avid Crafter. The ones that like to do over the top projects. Here's my Artfully Avid card.

For my Artfully Avid Card I created a Three Column Shadowbox Card. There are four sections on this card starting from the back to the front. The back panel on the back is where you would write your personal message. I still used all the same products as the other cards but added in some additional cardstock colors for the seashells, and seaweed.

The two front sections have a layer of Window Sheet sandwiched between the two columns along with some seaweed pieces embossed with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder and I did each in Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, Evening Evergreen Cardstock, and Shaded Spruce Cardstock. I then did the same sentiment in Sweet Sorbet Classic Ink with the same circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I took some of the stamped and die cut seashells and sniped and added some Gilded Leafing to them in places.
