Catalog CASE - Bottled Happiness
Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a super cute project to share with you using Bottled Happiness Bundle. The Bottled Happiness Bundle is in the 2022-2023 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog and can be found on page 16. This was a super quick and easy project and I know that you are going to love it. Here’s a look at today’s featured project and in this blog post I will give you some tips & tricks on how to recreate it as well.

CASE the Catalog:
I am actually taking inspiration from one of the catalog samples for my project today. I will share with you the catalog sample and then my version of the CASEd version of the project. Here's a look at the catalog sample from Stampin' Up!.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the term CASE it means that you take an project from the catalog, or from online and you copy and share everything or you copy and selectively edit. CASEing is not just about copying the project, you can also CASE the color scheme, the technique, and so much more. I chose to CASE the card today. Here's a look at my version of the card above that I made to share with you today.

On my versions of the card I decided on using the same supplies but instead of filling the card base up with the piece of Flirty Flamingo DSP from the Brights Designer Series Paper Assortment. I cut it down to a piece that measured 4" x 5 1/4" and attached it to my card base made from a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".

I also kept the panel of Basic White Cardstock that the flowers and leaves were stamped on. I did however made the decision to ink up the leaves in Daffodil Delight Ink first then come back in with my Granny Apple Green Stampin' Write Marker and inked up the leaves and stems before stamping. Where as the concept artist inked up the different colors on the stamp with Sponge Daubers and Ink Pads before stamping the image.
This saved time and a lot less headache. I find that inking up all the individual images to be a tedious process and inking up in the lighter color and then using the marker gave the same effect without a lot of work.

To finish off today's card I stamped the bottle in Granny Apple Green Ink onto a scrap of Basic White Cardstock before punching it out with the Vintage Bottle Punch. I did add the Linen Thread wrapped around the bottles neck and tied a bow as in the inspiration image. Instead of just stamping the sentiment and cutting a fishtail banner on both ends I stamped the sentiment and then used the largest banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut it out. I then applied it on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals to finish off the card.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope you liked todays project and you will give CASEing a try if you haven't already. If you need any of the supplies that I have shared today you can pick them up in my online store by clicking on the items in the shopping list below.
