Create your own Stencil with Punches
Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have the best stencil hack for busy crafters to share with you. I have a video tutorial for you at the end of this post on how to use this hack.

The Stencil Hack:
So, to do this hack you are going to need a piece of acetate or window sheet or some type of heavy weight cardstock. I used a pieced of Window Sheet cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Make sure to cut it the size of the card front you normally create with. Next I took my Tropical Leaf Punch and punched out the leaf. You could do this with any punch or die set to create your shape. BAM your stencil is now created.

After you have created your stencil you will take a circle die and a pencil and lightly traced around the outside edge of the die to create a circle for the wreath. Before you start the blending process you will want to mask off any areas you don't want to get ink on with Post It Notes, Masking Paper, or Post It Tape. Even plain copy paper will work. You are then going to place the stencil in the first position and using your Small Blending Brushes apply the ink in a gradient. You want to have some lighter areas and some darker areas for interest. I put my darker areas where the leaves overlapped.

Continue adding leaves with your chosen colors until you have it completed. To finish off the project use the leaf stencil again and a Silver Gel Pen and outline each leaf. Add your sentiment and your embellishment and layer the card front onto your panels and card base to complete.
