Easter Blessings - Daffodil Daydream

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a fun Easter card to share with you using two stamp sets from the January-June Mini Catalog. This card is a super cute little card that could be used for any occasion not just Easter. Here's a look at the card I made to share.

Amazing Daffodils:

I used the Daffodil Daydream Bundle and the Amazing Silhouettes Stamp Set to create this fun little card. I started out by stamping the daffodil image from the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set on to the card base made from Magenta Madness Cardstock. Then I stamped the butterfly from the Amazing Silhouettes Stamp Set onto a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock and attached it the the card base. I attached the Very Vanilla layer at an angle and cut off the excess cardstock with my Paper Snips.

Layers After Layers:

After attaching the Very Vanilla Cardstock layer I stamped the Easter Blessings greetings fro the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink in my Stamparatus. I then added the next layer of the card which was the leaves and stems of the daffodils. I then stamped the greeting again. I repeated this process for every layer that I added where the greetings would be. This way I have a fun overlapping sentiment to all the elements.

More Layers:

After adding the final layer of the sentiment it was time to add the die cut daffodils cut with the Daffodil Dies. The Daffodil Dies not only cut out the stamped daffodil images but they also cut out pieces to make your own daffodil as well. These pieces are made from four different pieces of die cut cardstock. I cut two pieces of the daffodils with So Saffron Cardstock and the detailed pieces with Daffodil Delight Cardstock. I adhered the layers together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The bud is just two die cut layers. The center of the daffodils are added with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I didn't add any embellishments to the card because I wanted the die cut daffodils to be the focal point of this card. Plus, I didn't really think that it need a lot more to make this a striking card design.
