Framed & Festive Envelope Treat Box - 3D Thursday

Envelope Treat Box Gift Idea by Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Rick Adkins

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am sharing the project that I made for this week's 3D Thursday project. I used a mixed of New supplies that are coming out in November to everyone but Demonstrators can order them now and some supplies from the July - December Mini Catalog to create my 3D Project this week.

As with each 3D Thursday post we have a free pdf tutorial to share with you as well on how to recreate the project. I will share that shortly, but first let's talk a little about the project. The base of my project is one of the Envelope Treat Boxes that are in the July - December Mini Catalog. I wanted to truly make a special delivery when I present this gift in these customizable Envelope Treat Boxes.

They're designed to look and fold just like an envelope—they even come with gold foil stickers for sealing (which I didn't use today)! The interior of the box is food safe and it's the perfect size for gifting treats, small presents, and gift cards. And the best part: The exterior of the box is uncoated, so you can stamp, color, and embellish it just the way you want! So, my head started spinning on how I could color it.

I wanted to do something a little different with them that would let me not have to wrap it but I wanted to give the impression of a wrapped present. So, I decided to do emboss resist on the outside of the box and ink blend the colors I wanted on the box. I wasn't sure how it would work but it turned out beautifully. For the stamping I used one of the floral images from the Framed Florets Stamp Set (available in November unless you add it to your Starter Kit now!)

I then buffed the excess ink off with a paper towel before embellishing it. I used some of the new Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper on the outside to create a belly band. And then I used three spools of Ribbon to add texture and more color. I used the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon, Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and the Gold Shimmer Ribbon. I took all three ribbons at the same time and wrapped around the belly band and tied it into a triple bow.

To finish off my little treat box I used a sentiment from the Framed & Festive Stamp Set (also available in November) and stamped it in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Polished Pink Cardstock and embossed it with White Embossing Powder. I punched it out with the Decorative Circle Punch and added a few Heart Pearls to the tag. I attached the tag with a Dimensional to the belly band. And added a little more sparkle with some of the Glimmer Specialty Paper that I die cut with one of the detailed dies from the Framed Florets Bundle.
