Growth Takes Time - Stampin' Up!
Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a fun card using the NEW Growth Takes Time Stamp Set from the Online Exclusives from Stampin' Up!. This is a super cute little stamp set that has some fabulous sentiments and the cutest little tree imagery.

Growth Takes Time:
With the Growth Takes Time Stamp Set you can show someone you are there for them through sunshine and rain! The stamp set comes with four sentiments that remind all of us that progress takes time. It also comes with three different tree sizes that show the development of a plant becoming something beautiful. You can color these trees to match any season of the year by using any coloring technique you want! The images are super easy to color with either Stampin' Blends or your Watercolor Pencils.

You can also top them off with some extra leaves or put the sweet watering can off to the side. It’s time to nurture and care for our loved ones the same way we do a garden by sending them a paper craft today!

Herringbone Designer Series Paper Background:
To create the Herringbone background I took strips of the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper and attached them to a piece of Grid Paper cut at 7 3/4" x 7 3/4". I then took a ruler and drew lines from corner to corner. I then cut each section into quarters and then each section was cut into one inch strips. After that I took another sheet of grid paper and cut down and added Stampin' Seal+ to each section and added one strip each time alternating the pieces to create the herringbone pattern.

After getting the entire paper covered I then had to cut down the strip to make a piece of the card. I matted the herringbone pattern onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock. Next I added it to the front of the card base made from Basic White Thick Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Ink and Versamark Ink. It was then covered in Clear Embossing Ink and heat set. Next I stamped the tree on a piece of Basic White Cardstock and colored it with my Stampin' Blends.

To finish off the card I used the new Radiating Stitches Dies and cut around the tree. I then cut a very thin piece of Petal Pink Cardstock and matted the Basic White Cardstock layer. This layer was then added to the card base with strong adhesive. I sprinkled around a few Champagne Rhinestones and a double bow made from White Baker's Twine. You can find a full list of all the supplies used on this card below.
