Happy Mother's Day - Daffodil Daydream

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a cute little card to share with you for Mother's Day. It's so easy to make that you will be so in amazed. Plus, it's a card that you can adapt to any occasion as well by changing the colors and stamp set that you use. Here's a look at the card that I designed to share with you today.

Tips & Tricks:

For today's card I created a square card base from a piece of Starry Sky Cardstock (New 2022-2024 In Color) cut at 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". I think Starry Sky Cardstock will replace Misty Moonlight Cardstock (that just retired) as an In Color perfectly and that you will love it's fun bright blue hue. It's got a little periwinkle in it but not too much. You can just see the hint of the periwinkle in the color.

I created the three colored strips of cardstock from three strips of Basic White Cardstock cut at 4" x 1" and stamped three of the different images from the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set in Versamark Ink on each. I then took three colors from my Soft Pastels Assortment and went over the cardstock. When you do this the pastels stick to the Versamark Ink to make a slightly darker color where the pastel sticks to the ink. Then you get the fun reveal of the images. The strips are attached to the card base with Seal Adhesive just staggered. This creates some visual interest to your card.

Finishing Touches:

To finish off the card I stamped the other daffodil bouquet and the butterfly from the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock and cut them out with the matching dies from the Daffodil Dies. I didn't add color to these images because I wanted the stamped pastel colored images to be the color. I then added a few Elegant Faceted Gems around the card to add a little sparkle.

Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have a wonderful day and if you need any of the supplies I used to recreate this card I have them all listed below in the Stampin' Up! Shopping List. This is a technique that I know you are going to have so much fun playing with.
