Each month I release a inspirational calendar to help inspire you each month. The calendar has prompts to help you over your creative slumps. I also share different color challenges and sketches each month on that same page to help inspire you to go along with the Creative Inspiration Calendar. Here's a look at the project that I created with the first sketch for May 2022.

Eclectic Garden Stamp Set:

You can make sweet creations with the nature-inspired images in the Eclectic Garden Stamp Set. You get to choose from a bird, berries, turnips, or a flower. Then add one of the comforting greetings, and your project will be complete. You can use a coloring technique of your choice or use the brushstroke images to make a bold statement. It's all up to you, and the results will be wonderful!

This is a Two-Step stamping set; which will allow you to layer two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension in the colors you want.

Tips & Tricks:

I decided to stamp the bird from the Eclectic Garden Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; so that I could color it with my Stampin' Blends. I decided to use one of the brushstroke images to make a bold statement in Tahitian Tide Classic Ink before coloring. I knew I wanted to use some bright fun colors so this was the perfect addition to ground the bold colored bird I had planned.

To color the bird I picked out my Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends Combo Pack, My Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blends Combo Pack, and my Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. I also threw in a little Starry Sky Stampin' Blends as well. I started out by coloring the bird with the Parakeet Party, then moved to the blue areas and added in some Starry Sky, blending it out with Tahitian Tide and then added a little Sweet Sorbet, and Highland Heather to add a transitional area from the breast to the back area. And I think it worked out perfectly. What do you think?

Finishing Touches:

Once the coloring was complete I added the panel to a piece of the 2022-2024 In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Pack. I went with one of the Parakeet Party colored patterns. I then attached that to my card base made from Parakeet Party Cardstock. I finished off my adding my sentiment stamped on a piece of Basic White Cardstock and popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals. And added the final touch with some of the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots.

Thanks for dropping by today I hope you have a wonderful day. You will find all the supplies that I used on todays project listed below in the Stampin' Up! Shopping List.

Happy Stampin'
