Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a super cute little card to share with you using the Rhino Ready Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!. Here's a look at the card that I created to share with you today.
For the background of this card I used my Color Burst and Brusho Watercolor Pigment along with a stencil and a little water in my Stampin' Spritzer to create the background. To do this you will need some Pixie Spray or some type of low tack stencil spray, low tack tape or something to hold the stencil down on the watercolor paper. I used a piece of the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper on my card. Next you are going to attach the stencil to the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and sprinkle on a little amount of the watercolor pigment powders (a little goes a long way). Then mist the paper lightly with water; just enough to get the pigment moving and let it be.
Once the background has dried you can cut the panel down to the desired size and mat it with your chosen cardstock color. I used a little Evening Evergreen Cardstock to mat my panel. I placed the stenciled panel onto my top folding card base made from a piece of 4 1/4" x 11" (scored at 5 1/2") Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then stamped the Rhino from the Rhino Ready Stamp Set and colored him with my Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends. I also stamped some of the tall grass from the same stamp set and cut it out using the Rhino Ready Dies (now sold out) along with two trees and some leaves. I used some ink and my Small Blending Brushes to add color to the die cuts.
I also cut a circle from So Saffron Cardstock and used a little Daffodil Delight Ink to add a little color around the edge. I cut the circle die cut in half and then stamped my sentiment in Evening Evergreen Ink. I then layered everything up on the card front to build my scene. Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have a wonderful day. I have all the available supplies listed below in the shopping list.
