Ribbon Trim and Embellishments for Card Making - Cardmaking 101 Back to Basics - Video

Today I am sharing the next video in my new Cardmaking 101 - Back to the Basics Series on my blog: Each week we will discuss a new item that you will need for card making. If you need a refresher or just starting out this video series is for you.

Today we are talking all things Ribbons and Embellishments. When it comes to Ribbons Trims and Embellishments for cardmaking there's a ton of items out there that you can pick from. The great thing about Stampin' Up!'s ribbons and embellishments is that they all color coordinate with the inks, cardstock, and designer series paper. So, no matter which you pick it's going to match.

What Ribbon or Embellishment to Pick:

Maybe you want to start out small, I would suggest getting a white ribbon. You can do so much with white ribbon and it goes with almost everything. You can pair it with Colored Cardstock, designer series paper, you name it you can pair it with it.

Plus you can also color white ribbons with alcohol markers to match whatever project you are doing. Same thing with most embellishments you can color them if they are clear, white, or most other colors. If I had to pick one embellishment right now I would go with the Classic Matte Dots. They have all your basics covered with white, vanilla, gray, and black.

The number one thing to remember is pick what you like.
