Hello and welcome to my blog today I am going to share with the cards that I made during this week's Live. I am Live each week on my Facebook Business Page and my YouTube Channel at 3 pm CST (2 pm Mt, 1 pm PST, 4 pm EST). So, if you missed me Live you can watch the replay here. But, you may want to subscribe to my channels so that you want miss the Live events again. Here's a look at this week's projects.
Ghost Stamping Basics:
During this week's Live which was my Online Workshop for the month of April I shared how to take one stamp set (Enjoy the Moments Stamp Set) and a few additional supplies and make some beautiful cards. I taught how to do the Ghost Stamping Technique. This is a fun technique that allows you to use colored cardstock and have some pretty cool colored images on the colored cardstock.
For the first card I used Sahara Sand Cardstock as the card base. And a piece of Evening Evergreen Cardstock as the card front. I stamped the pods in Blackberry Bliss Ink and Sahara Sand Ink. And you can see that they both show up on the dark colored cardstock. This is because of the Ghost Stamping Technique.
Ghost Stamping starts out by stamping the image that you want on colored Cardstock in Craft White Pigment Ink. Here I used Crumb Cake Cardstock as the card front. After the pigment ink is dry you can come back and stamp on top of it but just slightly offset just a little. The colored ink will set on top of the Pigment ink and allow it to show more vibrant than just stamping on the regular colored cardstock.
On the last card I stamped on Early Espresso Cardstock a very dark color first with the Craft White Pigment Ink then with So Saffron Classic Ink and Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink. But you can see the halo of the ghost stamping and the colored inks I stamped on top of the pigment ink.
