Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a simple birthday card to share with you using the Best Day Stamp Set and Petal Pink Cardstock, Inks, and a little designer series paper.

SIP Card:

Sometimes you just need to make a card in a hurry or you maybe just starting out in your crafting journey. When you are creating cards some times all you need is just Stamps, Ink, and Paper. Hence the acronym SIP! This card was made just using a few supplies. Even through I didn't use any dies, punches, or anything fancy this is still just a cute little birthday card that anyone would be very happy to receive in the mail.

SIP Cards can be quite stunning.

After you have all your pieces cut for your card it's just a matter of stamping, and layering the pieces. You are going to start out by adding a little interest to the card base by stamping the same image that was used as the focal point in the same color ink as your card base. Here I used Petal Pink Ink and Cardstock. I stamped the cat in the cupcake holder at the base of the card base in the coordinating ink color. I also stamped him again on the inside of the card on the base and the Basic White Cardstock insert for added interest.

Focal Point:

For the focal image I used that same image but I added just a little more color to the cat and the polka dots of the cup cake holder with my Petal Pink Ink Pad and a Blender Pen. I also added a piece of scrap DSP from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper to add a little texture and interest to the card front. I picked a piece that still had my two colors Basic White and Petal Pink in the design. You can use paper that you may think was only intended for a holiday, but they will work for other occasions as well. For example the Country Floral Lane DSP was part of this years Valentine's Suite, but it works nicely on the birthday card here. I finished off my card by adding the sentiment but cut a little fishtail banner on one end for a little more interest to complete the card.
