Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have a cute little fun fold to share with you using the Soaring Swallows Bundle from the January-June Mini Catalog. I also am sharing a couple of the new 2022-2024 In Colors along with a little retiring products. Here's a look at the card I created to share with you.
Tips & Tricks:
I started out by stamping the two of the birds from the bundle in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then added in the colored wings and tails. I used Pale Papaya Classic Ink on one and Orchid Oasis Classic Ink on the other. Once I started stamping this I did have to go and stamp in three of the other In Colors just to see what they looked liked and I loved them. I may share them on a card later on so be watching for that to happen.
Sizes of Cardstock Needed:
I used a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock as my card base. I cut it at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored it at 5 1/2". I then cut a piece of Pale Papaya Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and two pieces of the You're A Peach Designer Series Paper cut at 3" x 4" (scored at 1" on the long side). The two pieces of DSP are tucked behind the Pale Papaya Cardstock layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The Soaring Swallows Bundle includes the Soaring Swallows Stamp Set and the Swallows Dies. Mix and match the stamped images with die-cut elements to create textured and beautiful birds. The sentiments in the stamp set are sized perfectly to fit inside the banner piece in the dies to create greeting elements for your paper projects
The set includes two graceful swallows in flight and a variety of sentiments that cover many occasions. This set can be used for several stamping techniques. The swallows can be stamped and colored using your favorite coloring techniques. Or easily add color or texture with the Two-Step pieces inside the images. Depending on which region in the world you live in, you can customize the color of the birds to match the swallows that live near you. The texture pieces can also be used to create background for the birds in flight.
Inside of the Card:
When you open the card up on the front you I added a scalloped stitched rectangle using the Scalloped Contour Dies. This was cut from a piece of Basic White Cardstock and simply added to the inside of the front panel between the two flaps to give you even more room for another sentiment or to write a personal message on the outside as well as the inside.
