Stampin' Up! Apple Harvest Birthday Card
Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I am sharing a fun colorful birthday card using the Apple Harvest Stamp Set and the matching Apple Blossoms Dies.

Colors & Coloring Apple Harvest Birthday Card:
To Start off my card I stamped my apple from the Apple Harvest Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! in Stazon Jet Black Ink onto a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. You can use your favorite pigment or hybrid ink that is for watercoloring for this step. Next I colored the apple with different Watercolor Pencils and using a paint brush between layers until I got the desired colors I wanted. I used the matching Apple Blossoms Dies (which are on the Clearance Rack at this time) to cut out the apple image. [Side Note: I will be using the Apple Harvest Stamp Set in a class in the Next couple months you may want to pick up the Matching Dies to have on hand for that class while you can!].

Once I had the apple colored and cut out it was time to work on the card base. I cut a piece of Basic White Thick Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored it at 4 1/4" to make a A2 size card base. I took a piece of the All Together Designer Series Paper (also on the Clearance Rack at this time). I cut the All Together Designer Series Paper down to 3" x 6". Next I cut the 3" x 6" piece down to 3" x 3 1/2" and then cut the next one down to 3" x 2 1/2". I colored the 3" x 3 1/2" piece with my Daffodil Delight Light Stampin' Blend and my Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Combo. This added color to the black & white design of the DSP. By the way by cutting the DSP this way you can get two cards from one sheet of 6" x 6" DSP.

Next I flipped over the 2 1/2" x 3" piece of DSP to the other pattern and used my Berry Burst Stampin' Write Marker to add more plaid lines to the pattern for a little more color. After that I attached the 3" x 3 1/2" piece to a Granny Apple Green Cardstock mat cut at 3 1/4" x 3 3/4" and then matted the 2 1/2" x 3" piece to a 2 3/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock. Here's a closer look at the coloring of all the pieces.

After everything is colored you are going to attach them to the card base. Attach the larger piece of All Together Designer Series Paper first about a 1/4" from the left-hand side of the card base. Then layer the next piece onto that as shown here. Once you have all your matted pieces of DSP attached you are going to attach the colored and die cut apple with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish off the card you are going to use the happy birthday sentiment from the Wanted To Say Dies. Cut the shadow layer from Basic White Cardstock and the word die from Basic Black Cardstock. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach each together and then to the card front. Add a few Berry Burst gems from the 4 Color Tinsel Gems to add a little sparkle and the card is finished.
