Weaving Cardstock:

Here are some steps to get you started on your weaving journey:
Materials:
Cardstock in various colors
Paper trimmer or scissors
Ruler
Adhesive
Bone folder (optional)

Instructions:
Cut your cardstock into strips of equal width. You can use a paper trimmer or scissors to do this. The width of the strips will determine the thickness of your weave, so experiment with different widths to see what you like best.
Lay out your strips horizontally and vertically to create a grid pattern. Make sure they are evenly spaced and straight.
Take the top strip on the left side and weave it over and under the vertical strips until it reaches the end. Use a bit of adhesive to hold it in place.
Take the next strip and weave it under and over the vertical strips, starting with the opposite of what the first strip did. Use adhesive to hold it in place.
Continue weaving the strips until you reach the end of the row.
Take the first strip on the next row and weave it under and over the horizontal strips, again starting with the opposite of what the first strip did. Use adhesive to hold it in place.
Repeat steps 4-6 until your weave is complete.
Use a bone folder to press down the strips and make sure they are secure.
Tips:
Use contrasting colors for a bold look or monochromatic colors for a subtle effect.
Experiment with different weaving patterns, such as diagonal or checkerboard.
Trim the edges of your weave to create a neat and even finish.
Use your woven cardstock as a background for a card or cut it into shapes for a unique embellishment.

With a little bit of practice, weaving cardstock can become a favorite technique in your card making and paper crafting arsenal. Give it a try and see what beautiful creations you can make! I have a full list of supplies listed below in the shopping list.
