Now, before we dive into the six breathtaking card designs, let me tell you a little story. This year, I was on a mission to create the perfect Christmas cards for my friends and family. I wanted each card to be special and reflect the recipient's personality. That's when the One Horse Open Sleigh Suite was released by Stampin' Up!, and it was a game-changer! With its versatile products, I could let my creativity run wild and bring my ideas to life.
So, get your favorite crafting supplies ready, and let's embark on this card-making adventure together!
Vintage & Simple Christmas Elegance:
Are you a fan of classic, yet simple timeless designs? Then, Vintage & Simple Christmas Elegance is right up your alley. I started out by simply cutting some Watercolor Paper with one of the Rectangle Radiating Stitches Dies and stamped the horse and sleigh from the Horse & Sleigh Stamp Set in an archival ink. Next I just stamped the greeting from the stamp set that I wanted to use and colored the line art images with my Watercolor pencils.

But, I only did simple coloring in a traditional color palette. After that you just have to use some Pecan Pie Ink and a Blending Brush to ink blend the edges of the die cut frame. Simple place the die cut onto your standard A2 size card base and you are all finished.
Frosted Forest Bliss:
Picture this: a serene winter wonderland on a card! This "Frosted Forest Bliss" design will transport you to a snowy paradise. Start by choosing a lovely cardstock in your favorite shade of blue – I'm partial to a lighter blue, but feel free to go with what speaks to you. Then, use a the same color blue ink to and some torn copy paper to create an ink blended background. Make sure to do each section a little darker with the ink blending to create a beautiful backdrop. Now stamp one of the tree images from the Horse & Sleigh Stamp Set in the same color ink to create a lovely wintery scene. Don't worry about perfection – a few imperfect trees give it that authentic, whimsical touch.

Now, here's a little tip from my experience: die cutting the background scene with one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies is a total game-changer! For this design, I used the third largest die. Next I added some additional die cuts using the other stamped trees, the bunny, and a snow bank. They all give additional texture, adding that extra wow factor to your card!
Glistening Snowflake Symphony:
Now, let's add some sparkle and shine to our cards with the "Glistening Snowflake Symphony." Stenciling is in the spotlight on this card, but this time we'll use a little ink blending in a darker blue ink color and some Shimmery White Embossing Paste on a light blue ink blended piece of white cardstock. The result is a subtle shimmer that captures the essence of snow on a sunny winter day.

I love experimenting with different textures, and for this design, I added some extra texture and interest to the card with a half frame border that was actually left over from where I cut a piece of cardstock with the Deckled Rectangle Dies. Trust me, it's like giving your card a little sprinkle of holiday magic! The deckled edge looks like frosty snow when paired with the clean straight edge of the cardstock.
A Polar Forest Scene:
Prepare to melt hearts with the "Polar Forest Scene" card! This design is all about creating a cozy, adorable scene with a polar forest feel. I couldn't resist adding a fun twist to this one – a fuzzy, little winter bunny hopping through the snow! It's those small details that make a card memorable and delightful.

I placed a piece of the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper behind a frame created with Basic White Cardstock that was cut out with the opening of the smaller Deckled Rectangle Dies. I added the sentiment to the bottom of the die cut frame. And tucked one of the stamped and colored die cut trees under the edge and popped the rest of the tree up on the card front.
Winter Sleigh Ride:
Let's take things up a notch with a show-stopping card! I have a fond memory of making one of these for my nephew last Christmas. His eyes lit up when he opened it and saw the cute sleigh on the card. It's moments like those that make card-making so special.

To create the "Winter Sleigh Ride" Card grab some festive patterned paper or ink blend a piece of white cardstock with a gradient of blue ink. Add a die cut frame to the panel and cut it just smaller than the size of your card base. Then, use the stamp and color the adorable sleigh from the Horse & Sleigh Stamp Set and die-cut with the matching die set from the One Horse Open Sleigh Suite. Also cut out a couple wintery trees in white cardstock or from another piece of coordinating cardstock. With a little glue and a dash of holiday spirit, you'll have a beautiful holiday card that'll delight anyone who opens it!
Joyful Holly Border:
Holly is synonymous with Christmas, and this card is all about showcasing their charm! Start by ink blending a panel of Basic White Cardstock with a gradient of blue ink. Then used either a Holly die or a border punch to create a detailed die cut border. Place some white glitter cardstock behind the openings to add a little extra shine. I love adding shimmer to holiday cards it never fails to make me smile!

Finish off the card by adding some stamped and die cut trees and some snow banks with a little ink blending at the bottom and don't forget to add that oh so cute winter bunny to the card along with your sentiment.
