Wedding Wishes Card - Love & Happiness

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I have fun colorful wedding card to share with you using the Love & Happiness Bundle from the January - June Mini Catalog. Sadly the bundle is retiring and I hope that you have gotten it; because there's nothing like it in the July - December Mini Catalog and weddings happen all year long.

Today's post is also part of my monthly color challenge that I hold each month. For this month's color challenge you want to create a project using Balmy Blue Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet. Share your projects on Social Media with the #rickscolorchallenge that way I will be able to find them online and comment on your posts.

Tips & Tricks:

For my card today I created my card base from a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock cut at 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2". I started off the card by cutting a piece of Basic White Cardstock down to 6" x 6" and embossed it and cut the heart out at the same time with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder. This comes with both the 3D embossing folder and matching dies. You take the large heart die and place it inside the embossing folder in position and then the cardstock. Simply close the embossing folder and run through. The die will cut out the heart and the cardstock will be embossed at the same time.

Next I cut down the Basic White Cardstock layer and then cut a strip of Parakeet Party Cardstock and a strip of Sweet Sorbet Cardstock and embossed both of them. I then cut the two pieces in half and attached them to the card front. Next I took my Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Combo Pack, Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends Combo Pack and Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends Combo Pack and colored the flowers and leaves on the embossed die cut heart. I popped the heart up in the center of the Basic White Cardstock layer with some Stampin' Dimensionals.

Love & Happiness Bundle:

The Love & Happiness Bundle and Love & Happiness Stamp Set has sold out at this time since it's on the Last Chance List for the January - June Mini Catalog, but at the time of writing this post the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder is still available. I can not say that I am surprised that the bundle and stamp set both have already sold out, because they were filled with loved themed sentiments.

After adding the colored heart back into the opening I die cut a few smaller flowers, from both Sweet Sorbet Cardstock, and Balmy Blue Cardstock with the two smaller flower dies from the set. I added a either a Sweet Sorbet or Parakeet Party colored dot from the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots to the center of each flower. I attached some with Stampin' Dimensionals and some with Mini Glue Dots.

Next I die cut some of the leaves from the set with some scraps of Parakeet Party Cardstock and attached the to the card with Mini Glue Dots and slightly tucked the ends of the leaves under the flower die cuts. To finish the card I added a smaller heart cut from a scrap of Sweet Sorbet Cardstock next to the larger heart.

I then added a sentiment stamped in Versamark Ink and covered with White Stampin' Embossing Powder from the Basics Embossing Powders on a scrap of Balmy Blue Cardstock. I then took the sentiment die from the set and cut it out after set setting with my Heat Tool. I popped this up in the center of the larger heart with Stampin' Dimensionals.
