You're Too Kind

Hello and welcome to my blog; today I am sharing the card that I made a week or so ago. I shared on my YouTube shorts how to create the elements for this card then. Don't you just love the fun spring colors and the floral design. You may can tell I am so ready for spring. Here's a look at the card I made using these fun embellishments I made.

Bright and cheerful spring embellishments made with just a little cardstock, background stamps, and dies can create a beautiful focal image.

Creating the Embellishments:

I used the Meadow Dies, Stacked Stone Cling Background Stamp, some Magenta Madness Cardstock, So Saffron Cardstock, and Granny Apple Green Cardstock to crate the floral embellishments that I used on my card. It's pretty easy to do with the Stamparatus and the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I stamped the background image on all the cardstock pieces in matching inks and then used the Meadow Dies to cut them all out. Then it was just a matter of figuring out the arrangement.

Neutral Zone:

I decided that since I had all the bright fun spring colors that I would keep the rest of the card in the neutral zone. This was because I wanted the bright fun spring bouquet to still be the focal image and everything else just needed to support that. I decided that I would use my favorite neutral; Crumb Cake as the card base. So I cut a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock to 4 1/4" x 11" and scored and folded it in half. I added a layer of Basic White Cardstock cut slightly smaller than the card base. Before adding the Basic White layer I embossed it with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.

Finishing Touches:

To finish off the card I added a sentiment from the Quite Meadow Stamp Set stamped in Magenta Madness Classic Ink (retiring 2020-2022 In Color). I stamped it on a scrap of Basic White Cardstock and cut it out with the label die from the Meadow Dies. Added bow made from the Black & White Gingham Ribbon and a few Waves Rhinestone Basic Jewels (that have sold out since I made this card). Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have a wonderful day and that you have fun playing with this technique.
