CAS Balloon Animals Monkey Card | Soft Watercolor + Simple Ink Blending

If you love a clean and simple look with just a touch of playful charm, today’s card is such a fun one to try. I pulled out the Balloon Animals 1 Stamp Set from The Rabbit Hole Designs and stamped the sweet monkey-on-a-palm-tree image in Memento Toffee Crunch for a softer, no-line look. Using Distress Ink Reinkers as watercolors, I added light, airy color that keeps the design feeling fresh and effortless. Once everything dried, I placed one of the circle stencils from Penny Black’s Background Basics Stencils over the image and blended a soft halo of Distress Ink to frame the little scene without overwhelming it. It’s such an easy way to add interest while keeping things minimal.

To finish, I stamped the “Popping by to Say Hi” sentiment in crisp Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and popped the panel onto an A2 top-folding card base. A few white enamel dots—tinted with an E23 Copic marker to match the palette—added tiny pops of texture, and a handful of white gel pen highlights brought everything to life. This design is simple, sweet, and perfect for anyone who enjoys clean lines with a soft watercolor twist.
