Hello crafty peeps! In today's project we are going to dive into the world of clean and simple card designs using the Fall Leaves Dies from the Rabbit Hole Designs LLC. The Fall Leaves Dies are a great set of dies to have and you can pair them with the coordinating Falling Leaves 6 x6 Stamp Set, stencil and hot foil plate for more creativity. But we are just focusing on the dies today.
Gather Your Clean & Simple Fall Leaves Card Supplies:
For this project you will need the Falling Leaves Dies, a sentiment stamp set, and die, and some cardstock. You can also use an old background that you created from one of your Gelli Plate printing sessions or other background creating session for added intrest. When you have all the supplie gathered together the fun can begin.
Creating a Clean & Simple Look:
Sometimes its nice to keep it simple. If you are not a clean & simple person to get started just pick a simple die set like the Falling Leaves dies. You can use these dies to cut out your cardstock from a varity of different substrats. I used a gelli print background that I created to cut the die cuts from. I then took the leaves and placed them in an embossing folder for a little added texture.
You can do a bunch of these at once to make it easy. It makes the perfect little colorful background for your clean and simple card designs. You can see how you could use different shaped dies for this card design to change up how it looks.
It's always nice to have a little color to your clean and simple card design. By using a gelli print to die cut from I was able to add a lot of color with just one or two A2 card fronts. You could do this even easier by using die cuts from scraps of pattern paper. Or even just ink blended panels the possibilities are endless. I encourage you to sit down and have a little play time.
Before adding the die cut leaves to the card base I am them through my die cutting machine with an embossing folder. This added more texture and dimension to the die cuts and to the card. Once I had them embossed it was time to add them to the card.
To add a little more texture to the card I splattered on some gold metallic spray and added little black dots around some of the leaves to draw your eyes.
Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you found a little inspiration from my project today.
