Creating a Clean & Simple Look:

Sometimes its nice to keep it simple. If you are not a clean & simple person to get started just pick a simple die set like the Falling Leaves dies. You can use these dies to cut out your cardstock from a varity of different substrats. I used a gelli print background that I created to cut the die cuts from. I then took the leaves and placed them in an embossing folder for a little added texture.

You can do a bunch of these at once to make it easy. It makes the perfect little colorful background for your clean and simple card designs. You can see how you could use different shaped dies for this card design to change up how it looks.

Adding Color:

It's always nice to have a little color to your clean and simple card design. By using a gelli print to die cut from I was able to add a lot of color with just one or two A2 card fronts. You could do this even easier by using die cuts from scraps of pattern paper. Or even just ink blended panels the possibilities are endless. I encourage you to sit down and have a little play time.

Adding Texture:

Before adding the die cut leaves to the card base I am them through my die cutting machine with an embossing folder. This added more texture and dimension to the die cuts and to the card. Once I had them embossed it was time to add them to the card.

To add a little more texture to the card I splattered on some gold metallic spray and added little black dots around some of the leaves to draw your eyes.
