Cozy Winter Charm | Square Snugglebuck Card with Ink Blending & Embossing

There’s just something magical about mixing soft winter hues with a sweet little reindeer, and today’s square card brings all that cozy charm to life. I started by stamping the adorable Snugglebuck image onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White and coloring him with my Triblend Markers—those warm browns and that bright red nose make him instantly irresistible. Once everything was dry, I used circle dies to cut out both the image and the “Stay Cozy My Dear” sentiment, giving each piece a smooth, clean edge. A few extra touches—white pen highlights, simple stitched lines, and a sprinkle of Rock Candy Glitter—really made this little guy shine.

For the background, I wanted something soft, textured, and wintry without overpowering the focal point. I embossed a piece of Neenah Ultra Thick with the Scenic Poinsettias 3D folder, trimmed it to 4" x 4", and then brought it to life with Shaded Lilac and Speckled Egg Distress Inks using my 1" blending brushes. The blend settles beautifully into all those embossed details, creating a frosty finish that frames the reindeer perfectly. With a bit of foam adhesive, I layered everything onto an ivory 4 1/4" square top-fold card base and let that sweet little deer take center stage. It’s simple, charming, and full of winter warmth—just the kind of project that reminds us why we love handmade cards this time of year.
