Create a Layered Handmade Christmas Card with Stamping and Alcohol Markers

Christmas cards don't always have to be elegant or traditional. Sometimes the ones that get the biggest laugh are the ones people remember long after the holiday season is over. That's exactly what inspired today's card featuring the Merry Crisis Stamp Set from Unity Stamp Company. The whimsical Santa, adorable reindeer, and humorous sentiment immediately caught my attention, and I knew they deserved a design that felt just as fun without becoming overly busy.

One of my favorite things about creating holiday cards is finding ways to get more from a single stamp set. Rather than reaching for patterned paper, I wanted to see if I could build an entire design using the images already included in the set. It's a great reminder that sometimes the supplies sitting on your craft table have more creative possibilities than you might realize.

Let the Images Be the Star

Whenever I work with detailed stamped images, I try to keep the overall layout simple. Santa and his reindeer already have plenty of personality, so they naturally become the focal point of the card.

You could even leave the background uncolored for a clean and simple look or lightly ink blend behind the stamped border to create a softer frame.
