Create a Majestic Birthday Card with the Author & the Queen Collection

I had so much fun putting together this elegant birthday card featuring the The Queen Stamp Set from Scrappy Boy Stamps! I started by stamping one of the fabulous Queen images onto Neenah Ultra Thick Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then brought her to life with my Ohuhu Brush Markers. I matched her colors to the gorgeous patterns in The Author and The Queen 6x6 Paper Pack, which added that perfect royal flair. After cutting her out with the coordinating The Queen Outline Dies, I paired two coordinating patterns from the same paper pack to build a richly layered backdrop. That vintage wallpaper and silhouette border? Pure magic once everything came together!

For the sentiment, I reached for the Birthday Phrases Word Dies—cutting the shadow from deep black cardstock and the words from shimmering gold foil. Once the two layers were stacked, they gave the design just the right amount of sparkle without stealing the show. I popped the Queen up on foam adhesive so she sits front and center on her throne, then added a few gel pen highlights to finish everything off. It’s a quick and regal project that feels so fun to make, and these Scrappy Boy Stamps products truly do all the heavy lifting!
