Creating a Whimsical Mini Slimline Card with the Ommm…My Gosh Stamp Set

For today’s card, I had so much fun playing with the Ommm…My Gosh Stamp Set from Unity Stamp Company and turning it into a cheerful mini slimline card with lots of personality. I started by stamping the adorable yoga lady onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80 lb Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then colored her in using my Triblend Markers. I chose marker colors to coordinate with the pattern papers I had pulled, which always makes the finished card feel extra cohesive. Once she was colored, I used a blanket stitch die from my stash to cut out the image and added a bit of soft ink blending along the bottom of the panel to ground her and give the scene a little more depth.

For the card base, I created a top-folding mini slimline card from Ivory 110 lbs Smooth Cardstock and layered it with tone-on-tone green pattern paper from the Year In Review Pattern Paper Pad (the paper pad is out of stock at SBC and other online retailers but I listed the individual 12 x 12 sheets that match in the supply list). I also grabbed a leftover scalloped floral paper scrap from a previous project—proof that scraps really can shine—and tucked it behind the focal panel for added detail. The coral tone-on-tone mat helps the image pop, while a simple sentiment stamped on an ivory tag, finished with light ink blending and burlap twine, adds just the right touch of texture. A few white gel pen highlights and coordinating rhinestones were the perfect finishing touches to bring this whimsical, feel-good card together.
