There’s something special about sending a handmade card just because. No birthday, no holiday—just a little note to let someone know you’re thinking of them. That’s exactly what inspired today’s card featuring the Fabulous Fuchsias Stamp and Die Bundle, Sentimentally Speaking Stamp Set, and You’ve Been Framed Dies from The Rabbit Hole Designs.
Floral designs are some of my favorites to work with because they’re so versatile. You can go bold and dramatic or keep things soft and subtle, and they always look beautiful. For this card, I wanted to create a framed floral focal point with just enough detail to make the design pop without overpowering the sentiment.

Fabulous Fuchsias Miss You Card:
Framing the Fuchsias for a Polished Look
One of my go-to design tricks is using frames to ground an image. A well-placed frame draws the eye to the focal point and makes everything feel intentional. That’s where the You’ve Been Framed Dies came in.
I started by stamping the gorgeous fuchsia cluster inside the square onto a piece of Hammermill Smooth Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I love this ink for alcohol markers because it doesn’t smudge or bleed. The fuchsias in this set are so delicate and detailed—they just beg to be colored!
After bringing the flowers to life with my OLO Markers, I reached for the third die in the You’ve Been Framed Dies set to cut out the panel. To add contrast and make the image stand out, I cut a black cardstock mat using the second die in the set. Layering these two pieces together gave the card a refined look while keeping the design clean and simple.

Choosing the Right Sentiment
Sentiments are everything when it comes to card making. They set the tone and bring the design together. Since I wanted this card to be a thoughtful “just because” card, I reached for the Sentimentally Speaking Stamp Set and stamped the “Missing You” sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. This ink is perfect for crisp, dark sentiments that really stand out against a background.
One of my favorite things about this set is that you can get coordinating dies. Instead of cutting the sentiment into a simple strip, I used the matching die for a polished, professional finish. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big impact.

Finishing Touches That Elevate the Design
I always say that finishing touches are what take a card from "nice" to "WOW!" For this card, I kept the embellishments simple but effective:
A few Clear Sparkle Enamel Dots added just the right amount of shimmer.
White gel pen highlights gave the flowers extra dimension and made the colors pop.
A black gel pen outline around the card front helped define the design and add a subtle hand-drawn element.

A quick pro tip: If your card feels like it’s missing something, try outlining the edges with a black pen. It creates a framed effect that makes everything look more cohesive without adding bulk.
Once everything was in place, I adhered the card panel to a top-folding A2 card base, and just like that, it was ready to send.

Final Thoughts
This card is a great example of how a simple design can still feel elegant and intentional. The framed floral image, bold sentiment, and small finishing touches all work together to create a card that’s both easy to make and visually striking.
I love how this project turned out, and I hope it inspires you to play around with framing your stamped images. Have you ever used frames in your card designs? Let me know—I’d love to hear how you incorporate them into your projects!
