If you've ever found yourself staring at a blank card base wondering where to start—or if you’ve sat down to create and just didn’t feel the spark—then this is for you. I’m so excited to share something I’ve poured a lot of love into: my brand-new Creative Card Sketches to Spark Your Mojo – Volume 1.
This printable PDF includes 15 of my most-used, go-to card sketches, plus over 100 real-life card examples to inspire you. Yes, 100. These aren’t filler designs—they’re finished cards I’ve made using the exact sketches in this bundle, and they cover a wide range of styles, occasions, and products.
This collection was designed with one purpose: to help you make more with less stress—whether you’re crafting in 10-minute pockets or settling in for a long weekend session at your craft table.

It’s Here! Creative Card Sketches to Spark Your Mojo Vol. 1
Why I Created This Sketch Bundle
I still remember one afternoon a few years ago—I had my favorite mug of tea, a desk full of supplies, and absolutely no idea what kind of card I wanted to make. Sound familiar?
So, I pulled out an old notebook where I’d sketched some layouts years ago, and suddenly... everything started flowing again. That moment reminded me how helpful it is to have a good starting point. Not a full plan—just a spark.
That’s exactly what this sketch bundle is meant to be: a creative spark when you need one most.
What You’ll Find Inside
This isn’t just a set of line drawings. Each sketch is clean, clear, and totally customizable—plus I’ve included plenty of notes and tips to help you make the most of them.
Here’s what’s inside the Volume 1 PDF:
15 card sketches you can print or pull up on your device
Over 100 finished card examples using the exact sketches
Helpful notes and reminders throughout
A flexible design that works for any card size or theme
These sketches are all ones I use regularly—tried and true layouts that work for everything from clean and simple to layered and bold.
How to Use the Sketches
Use these sketches however it suits your process. You can follow them exactly or treat them as a rough outline. Flip them sideways, shrink them down, stretch them out—there’s no wrong way to use a sketch.
Pro Tip: If you see a shape labeled Focal Point, that’s simply a suggestion. It doesn’t have to be a circle or rectangle—it can be a sentiment, a stamped image, a shaker window, a layered die cut, or anything else that draws the eye. That space is yours to interpret however you like.
I’ve even included a “Things to Remember” section in the bundle to help take the pressure off. My favorite reminder? These layouts are here to serve you, not the other way around.

Why Card Sketches Work (Even for Experienced Crafters)
I know some cardmakers feel like using sketches is just for beginners—but I can tell you from experience, even seasoned crafters benefit from having a little visual inspiration in their back pocket.
Sketches help:
Cut through decision fatigue when you’re overwhelmed by choices
Speed up your creative process when you’re batch-making or short on time
Jump-start your creativity when you’re stuck in a rut
Stretch your stash by using supplies in new ways
Personally, I love using a good sketch when I want to try a new stamp set but don’t want to overthink the design. It lets me focus on color, texture, or technique—without reinventing the wheel every time.

One Last Thing…
From one cardmaker to another—I know what it’s like to second guess a design, to wonder if something’s “good enough,” or to have a craft room full of beautiful supplies you don’t know how to use.
This sketch bundle is my way of saying: start where you are, use what you love, and trust your creative instincts. You never know what kind of magic can come from a simple sketch and a little time to play.
Thanks for being here. I can’t wait to see what you make.
Happy crafting,
Rick
