Let's Wander Birthday Card:

Exploring the Let's Wander Stamp Set

The Let's Wander Stamp Set is truly a joy to work with. I love how versatile it is, allowing for endless creativity. For this card, I decided to create a lively scene by stamping the image multiple times, masking off each section to ensure a seamless design. This technique can seem a bit daunting at first, but trust me, it's worth the effort.

Pro Tip: When masking, use sticky notes or masking paper to cover the areas you don't want to stamp. This helps in achieving clean and precise images. It’s like creating your own little puzzle!

Adding Color with Ohuhu Honolulu Brush Markers

Once my scene was stamped, I had a blast coloring it with Ohuhu Honolulu Brush Markers. These markers are fantastic for blending and adding vibrant colors to your projects. The variety of shades allowed me to bring my stamped images to life, creating a cheerful and inviting scene.

Pro Tip: When using alcohol markers, work in small sections and blend while the ink is still wet. This helps in achieving smooth transitions between colors. Don’t be afraid to layer different shades to add depth and dimension to your artwork.

Creating the Hidden Sentiment

The real magic of this card lies in the hidden sentiment. I used the Happy Scripty Word Die and the Birthday Scripty Word Die to cut out the words "Happy Birthday" from the card front. This creates a fun peek-a-boo effect that’s sure to surprise and delight the recipient.

Pro Tip: Save the die-cut sentiments and use small strips of foam tape to pop them back into place. This adds a wonderful dimension to your card without making it too bulky. Plus, it gives a neat and professional finish.

Assembling the Card

To assemble the card, I adhered the stamped and colored front to an A2 card base made from Neenah Solar White Ultra Thick 110 lbs Cardstock using Bearly Arts Liquid Glue. This glue is perfect for ensuring a strong and durable hold. Once the card front was secure, I inlaid the die-cut sentiments, popping them up with foam tape.

Adding Sparkle and Finishing Touches

No card is complete without a bit of sparkle, right? I used the Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Sparkle Pen to add a couple of coats of clear glitter over the sentiments. This gave the card a beautiful, shimmery finish that catches the light perfectly.

Finally, I blended a little ink at the top of the card to create a soft, dreamy sky. It was the perfect finishing touch to tie everything together.

Pro Tip: When adding glitter, less is more. A couple of light coats will give you a lovely sparkle without overwhelming the design. And always remember to let each coat dry before adding another to avoid smudging.
