One of the reasons I fell in love with card making is how a simple piece of cardstock can send such a powerful message. Today, I’m excited to share a colorful and meaningful card project I created to celebrate Pride and the spirit of inclusion. I used the Sentimentally Speaking Holidays Bundle, the Berry Sweet Stamp Set, and the Berry Sweet Dies from The Rabbit Hole Designs to pull everything together into a bright and cheerful design that's close to my heart.

This card is also part of the Equality For All! Collaboration Instagram Hop, and I couldn’t think of a better way to honor this event than by crafting something that speaks to kindness, equality, and handmade love.
If you’ve ever wanted to create a card that's meaningful but didn’t know where to start with the design, this project is a fun way to blend color, creativity, and heart into one layout.
Celebrate Pride! Equality for All Card | Sentimentally Speaking Holidays Bundle | The Rabbit Hole Designs:
Building a Handmade Pride Flag from Cardstock
I’ve always believed that the best card backgrounds come from digging into your stash. For this card, I started by gathering scraps of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet cardstock. I trimmed each one into 3/4" x 4 1/4" strips and attached them, in rainbow order, onto a thin piece of copy paper.
Pro Tip:Use a lightweight adhesive or a tape runner when attaching strips to thin paper. It helps avoid any rippling or warping, keeping your background nice and flat for die cutting or layering.

Once the rainbow base was built, I wanted to incorporate the Progress Pride flag elements as well. I cut small squares from black, brown, teal, pink, and white cardstock, cut each square in half diagonally to create triangles, and layered them onto the rainbow panel. I started with the largest triangles and worked my way down to the smallest, mimicking the chevron on the Progress Pride flag.
It felt like building a paper quilt — each little piece fitting together to form a bigger story.
When my flag panel was finished, I trimmed it down to 3 3/4" x 5" and mounted it onto a piece of black cardstock cut slightly larger (4" x 5 1/4") for a nice clean frame. Then I attached the whole thing to an A2 card base.

A Sweet Touch with Berry Sweet
No celebration card is complete without something sweet, right? I pulled out the Berry Sweet Stamp Set from The Rabbit Hole Designs and stamped the adorable cupcake using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I had so much fun coloring the cupcake with Copic markers, giving the wrapper a Pride-inspired rainbow look.
Pro Tip: When coloring rainbow elements, it helps to pick a limited color palette (around 5-6 colors) and repeat those colors in small sections to keep everything looking cohesive rather than chaotic.
Once colored, I used the coordinating Berry Sweet Die Set to cut out the cupcake. To give it a soft, floating look on the card front, I die cut a simple circle from a scrap of vellum and placed the cupcake on top before adding it to the center of my card.
I love using vellum behind focal images. It gives the design breathing room without covering up the background you worked so hard to build.

Happy Pride Sentiment
For the sentiment, I reached for the Sentimentally Speaking Holidays Bundle. This set is quickly becoming a staple in my stash because it covers so many occasions, and I love the bold yet simple fonts.
I stamped the "Happy Pride" sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink for a crisp, dark impression and die cut it with the coordinating die. I popped it onto the card right below the cupcake for a balanced look.
Finishing touches are where the magic happens, so I added a few white gel pen highlights to the cupcake for a little extra shine and whimsy.

Bringing It All Together
This card was such a joy to make, and it reminds me why I love crafting — it’s not just about paper and ink. It’s about using what we create to uplift, connect, and celebrate each other.
If you’ve ever felt intimidated to make a Pride-themed card, I hope this inspires you to dive in. Building your own rainbow flag background is easier than you think, and using simple supplies from your stash can make it even more meaningful.
