Clean & Simple Christmas Card Using a Nontraditional Color Palette

If you love clean & simple Christmas cards but want to step outside the usual red and green, this project is such a fun way to do it. I used the I Believe Stamp Set from Miss Ink Stamps and stamped the bold sentiment in pink ink right in the center of the card front, then built the design by stamping the playful underwear images around it in a dark brown ink. All of the images were colored with my Ohuhu Brush Markers, using a nontraditional yet seasonal color palette pulled from the Color Cube. This is one of my favorite ways to choose colors with confidence, especially when I want something fresh that still feels festive.

To add a little extra polish without losing that clean & simple feel, I created a soft drop shadow on the bottom left of each image, then made a custom mat layer by coloring the edges of white cardstock with my darkest brown marker. Once everything was layered onto a top-fold A2 card base, I finished the card with white gel pen highlights and a touch of Stardust Stickles on each piece of underwear for a subtle sparkle.
