Spring is just around the corner, and that means it’s time for bright, cheerful Easter cards! Today, I’m sharing a quick and easy Easter card that’s part of my new Fast & Fabulous: Cards in 4 Easy Steps series. If you love creating cards that look detailed but come together effortlessly, this one is for you.
I used the Hoppy Easter Stamp Set and Hoppy Easter Wafer Dies from Simon Says Stamp to bring this design to life. This adorable bunny holding a daffodil was just begging to be the star of the show. Plus, with a bit of soft ink blending and shimmer, this card has just the right amount of charm without feeling overwhelming.
Let’s talk about the details of this project and how you can easily recreate it with supplies you already have in your stash!

Easy Happy Easter Card:
A Soft & Blended Spring Background
A great background can set the tone for an entire card. For this one, I wanted something soft and fresh, like a spring morning. I started with Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb Cardstock and blended Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters, and Spun Sugar Distress Inks.
I love how these colors create a dreamy transition—Tumbled Glass mimics the sky, Shabby Shutters adds a hint of new grass, and Spun Sugar brings in that soft warmth of early spring blooms. If you’ve ever been outside early on an Easter morning, with the sun peeking through and the grass still glistening with dew, that’s the look I was going for.

To add a little something extra, I spritzed the background with Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray (from Altenew). This gives the background a soft sparkle, almost like sunlight catching on morning frost. It’s subtle, but those tiny details make all the difference.
Pro Tip: When ink blending, start with the lightest color first and use circular motions to avoid harsh lines. If you ever feel like you’ve overdone an area, a clean blending brush with a little bit of white pigment ink can help soften things.

Bringing the Bunny to Life with Coloring
No Easter card is complete without an adorable bunny, right? The Hoppy Easter Stamp Set has the sweetest images, and I couldn’t resist stamping the bunny holding the daffodil. I used Rainbow Splash Black Ink on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb Cardstock—my go-to for coloring.
For the coloring, I pulled out my OLO Markers. These markers blend beautifully, making them a great choice for simple shading. I kept the bunny soft and neutral with a mix of warm grays, then added pops of color to the flower. The yellow daffodil and green stem really stand out against the softer background.
Once everything was colored, I die cut both the bunny and the sentiment using the Hoppy Easter Wafer Dies. I love when a set includes coordinating dies because it makes assembly so much easier—no fussy cutting required!
Pro Tip: If you ever feel like your coloring looks flat, try adding a tiny hint of a light blue or lavender shadow around the edges of your image. This gives it more depth and helps it pop off the background.

Simple, Yet Striking Placement
Once I had all my pieces ready, it was time to assemble. I attached the ink-blended panel to an A2 top-folding card base made from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb Cardstock. This heavier cardstock holds up beautifully, especially when adding layers.
I wanted the bunny to be the focal point, so I placed it towards the bottom left-hand side and popped it up with thin foam squares for dimension. The sentiment, “Happy Easter,” went in the upper right, close to the bunny, keeping the balance just right.
To finish things off, I added a few Boiled Sugar - Jelly Drop Hearts (from Trinity Stamps) around the sentiment. The little touch of shine and dimension ties everything together without overpowering the design.
Pro Tip: When placing embellishments, think in odd numbers. Groups of three or five tend to look more natural and balanced than even numbers.

A Quick & Fun Easter Card to Share
I love how this card came together—soft, bright, and full of springtime cheer. The best part? It’s quick enough to make a few at once, so if you’re sending out Easter cards this year, this is a great design to mass-produce.
