From Mini Album to Slimline Card | A Coffee Themed Gift Card Holder

One of my favorite ways to stretch my supplies is by looking at dies with fresh eyes, and today’s project is a perfect example of that. This shaped slimline card gift card holder started with the Coffee Mini Album Die Set from Scrappy Boy Stamps, but instead of building an album, I used the pieces to create a fun coffee-themed card base. I pulled colors directly from the Dreaming of Coffee 4x9 Pattern Paper Pack, cutting the album pieces from coordinating cardstock so everything layered together effortlessly while still letting the pattern paper shine.

To turn this into a functional gift, I added a pocket using the Mini Album Pocket with Heart and Star Button Die Set, mixing cardstock and pattern paper for extra interest. I also leaned into the holes created by the Coffee Mini Album Die Set, tying them into the overall design so they feel intentional rather than leftover from an album build. The result is a playful shaped slimline coffee card that holds a gift card perfectly and shows just how versatile these Scrappy Boy Stamps die sets can be when you think beyond their original purpose.
