Hello crafty friends and welcome to my blog; today I am sharing the two cards that I shared on Saturday for day two of my Spooky & Sweet Halloween Series! On my cards today I featured the Jack of All Faces Stamp Set from the Rabbit Hole Designs.
Two Easy Spooky Halloween Cards:
Jack of All Faces Halloween Cards:
To create both cards I used some of the Mixed Media White Smooth Paper Pad from SBC for the card fronts. I started out my ink blending on some distress oxide inks in Villainous Potion, Prize Ribbon, and Black Soot. I then spritzed each one with some Hocus Pocus Mica Spray Stain, Flickering Candle Mica Spray Stain, Empty Tomb Mica Spray Stain. I then sit both pieces aside to dry.
While the panels were drying I worked on my coloring. I had stamped both the Jack-o-lantern with the witches hat and the larger and smaller jack-o-lanterns together onto some Hammermill Smooth 100 lbs. Cardstock. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; so that I could color them with my OLO Markers.
I kept the coloring to a three color blend on each of the images. I don't have all the OLO Markers so I used the color combinations that I had. So, far I am loving these new markers that I have added to my collection recently. Once all the coloring was completed I the coloring I used my scissors to cut out each of the images. The Jack of All Faces Stamp Set does not have coordinating dies So, fussy cutting it is!
Once I had the fussy cutting completed I went to work finishing the backgrounds. I used the Berries & Leaves Stencil (from Simon Says Stamp) along with some Black Tie Stencil Butter to add a little more interest to the backgrounds.
After applying the stencil butter I sat the panels to the side to dry. While they dried I worked on my sentiments. I prepped some Pitch Black Cardstock with my Cotton Tail Powder Tool. I stamped two of the sentiments from the Jack of All Faces Stamp Set in Unicorn White Pigment Ink and covered them with white embossing powder. And heat set the embossing powder.
I used the banner dies from the You've Been Framed Die Set (from The Rabbit Hole Designs). Then I just snipped them to the sized I wanted. Once the background panels were dried I attached the panels to a Pitch Black Cardstock mat cut 1/8" larger than the card fronts. And then to two A2 top folding card bases.
I then added the fussy cut jack-o-lanterns from the Jack of All Faces Stamp Set to the card fronts with a few Black Scrapbook Adhesives 3D 217 Foam Squares. I finished the cards by adding a few Clear Twinkle Stardust Rhinestones (from Trinity Stamps).
