There’s something so special about creating a clean & simple baby’s first Christmas card, and this project felt especially fitting for my Gingerbread Greetings Video Series for December 2025. For today’s card, I used the Baby’s 1st Christmas Stamp Set from The Rabbit Hole Designs to stamp the presents, toy train, and box car images onto Hammermill Smooth 100 lb Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I kept the look soft and sweet by coloring everything with my Copic markers using a cohesive pastel color palette—two-marker blends in pinks, greens, blue-greens, yellow-reds, and cool greys—which really helps the images feel calm and baby-friendly while still festive.
Once the coloring was finished, I used the Baby’s 1st Christmas Outline Dies to cut out all the images and shifted my focus to the background. A panel of Hammermill Smooth Cardstock was die cut using the Diamond District – Layering/Nesting Dies, adding subtle texture while keeping the design clean. I stamped the “Baby’s First Christmas” sentiment directly onto the panel with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink, then arranged the images using a mix of liquid glue and foam squares for gentle dimension. The finished panel was popped onto a top-folding A2 card base made from Nectar Cardstock, with a few thoughtful details inside—stamped presents, a Merry Christmas sentiment, pastel peach pearls, and white gel pen highlights—to complete this soft, clean and simple Christmas card perfect for celebrating a baby’s very first holiday season.
