Penguin Mug Gift Tag | Cute Gift Card Holder with Pixi Dust Designs

There’s something so charming about turning a simple die set into a gift that feels extra-special, and this penguin mug gift card holder tag came together so sweetly using the Penguin Mug Die Set, Tag Accessories Die Set, and Stitched Scallop Slimline Die Set from Pixi Dust Designs. I started by cutting all the pieces for the penguin mug, then added soft ink blending to give the die cuts a little depth and warmth. To create the tag base, I used partial die cutting with the largest stitched scallop die—doing the same with the layering piece—to get the perfect custom size. Once everything was prepped, I assembled the penguin mug and added those cute little details that make it really shine: rosy cheeks, a striped straw, and that fluffy whipped topping.

For the back of the tag, I cut the pocket and matching layer from the Tag Accessories Die Set, turning the whole project into an easy gift card holder. A small “for you” sentiment went onto the pocket, and I finished the tag with a bit of black shimmer ribbon from my stash. A few white highlights from my Posca paint marker and a touch of Stardust Stickles on the whipped cream and marshmallows added just the right amount of sparkle. It’s a quick, charming project that works beautifully for holiday gifting, winter birthdays, or any moment when you want to give something handmade and heartwarming.
